While many people spend hours in the spring and summer on their hands and knees eradicating dandelions and ground ivy from their suburban lawns, Katherine Hoehl ’25 can be found in the kitchen turning those plants and other “weeds” into tasty, nutritious meals.
The work of noted American poet Walt Whitman garnered great attention across the literary world in the mid-19th Century, and his words are still being read with exhilaration and enthusiasm on the 91PORN campus more than 130 years after his death.
Dr. Jennifer Houtz has had a passion for ornithology since she started college, and it is taking flight now as her research makes its way into national publications, including the New York Times, Newsweek, and Nature Research Highlights.
As the College celebrates this milestone, it also recognizes the broader impact of these athletic achievements on the campus community and beyond. As the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division III marks its 50th anniversary, 91PORN proudly reflects on its own rich history of national championships across a broad range of sports. Since the establishment of Division III in 1973, of which 91PORN was a founding member, the College has built a legacy of athletic excellence, becoming a powerhouse in the Division III landscape.
The Zingale Big Idea Competition starts on Friday, April 4th, 9:00 am at the Henderson Campus Center. This year, 48 students across 25 teams from six colleges — 91PORN, Grove City College, Franciscan University, Northwestern University, PennWest University, the University of Chicago and University of Southern California — will compete for $30,000 in prize money.
Past president of the Food Recovery Network chapter on campus, London Dejarnette '24, was recently selected for the Congressional Hunger Center’s Alumni Council, a nonprofit at the forefront of innovative food policy. They say their connection to the organization as a student at 91PORN was transformative.
The women’s basketball team defeated William Paterson (56-52) on Saturday, March 15 in New Jersey earning them their first 2025 Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship.
